Salutations friends! I know, I haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday in a hot minute. I’m sorry! Truth is, I have been really busy with so many things and I did mention that I was going to be coming back in April better than ever. Let this be the article of be me ending this month on a bang! Anyway, this is going to be a quick list of how you can tell I’m a book lover. These will be things specifically to point out my love for books and expose some of my obvious bookish habits. So let’s dive right into it, enjoy!
📚 I have a book sleeve in every room, in every bag, in my home.
📚 I have bookish themed candles scattered throughout my house.
📚 My mug collection is just as big as my book collection.
📚 If the multiple Harry Potter Funko Pops didn’t give it away then I don’t know what will!
📚 Books everywhere.
📚 Four glass containers filled with bookmarks.
📚 My reading playlist is the only playlist ready in queue on any device.
📚 Being caught sleeping, cuddling a book.
📚 Having a set amount of time for need to gush or rant about a book to my partner.
📚 If you open my wallet, you’ll find multiple library cards.
Okay, Chapterlings! Those are all my habits that let you know I’m a bookworm. The mugs are a little questionable, but trust me, majority of them are bookish or used when I’m reading. Regardless, I hope you all enjoyed this quick, little post! Feel free to tell me in the comments down below some of the ways someone can tell if you are a book lover. Until next time, I hope you’re getting your April TBRs ready, I love you! 💕
Salutations friends! I know it has been a hot mute since I popped in with a Top Ten Tuesday, but I’m here now! This is just a quick list of books I have read that are one worded titles, well every book read except for Cinder. Oops! I hope you enjoy this list as much as I did creating it. Now onward to the books!
I know that was super short and fast, but I hope you enjoyed this list nonethless! And if you have some one-word titled books, please feel free to list some down below! I’m always looking for a new book to get swept up in! Until next time Chapertlings, may March bring fresh beginnings, I love you! 💗
Salutations Chapterlings! I’m here to drop a quick Top Ten Tuesday before Valentine’s Day! I’m currently stuck being sick…again! We love that for me, might as well be my new brand. Anyway, I just wanted to share some books (okay, manga and graphic novels, mostly) that I love with my whole heart and soul, but never talk a whole lot about. I hope you find some new graphic novels or books to look into. Now onto the books!
I have been reading this webcomic for about a year and some change. I still can’t believe I haven’t talked about it on my blog. This was the first webcomic on WebToons I started reading and absolutely fell in love with it. From the art style all the way to the story-line, I was hooked and I encourage all of you to check it out as well!
I think I’ve mentioned this series maybe once on my blog, but I absolutely love this series. I love the spinning of all out favorite fairy tales trying to survive from a war and make a living in the modern day, coexisting by the mundane. I currently have the deluxe editions volume five and six lined up to be read and my anticipation is at an all time high. Also, you know I’m a gamer and there’s actually a game called The Wolf Among Us that’s based from these comics. So if you game to, then I definitely recommend checking this series out!
From the anime, to the live action movie, to the very manga series, I adore Princess Jellyfish! One of my oldest friends had introduced me to this manga series and if she had never done that then I probably never would have even heard of Princess Jellyfish or even love it the way I do today. If you’re looking for a manga that shows the colliding of the rich and stylish meeting the quirky, nerdy girl style then you need to check out this series. Plus, the main character loves jellyfish with her whole heart and soul!
Where did my love for Ahsoka Tano come from? Well, it was full enforced when my spouse gave me this book as a birthday present one year. Clone Wars was great and all, but this book was everything I had wanted and so much more. This fills in the gaps of what happened to Ahsoka after the Clone Wars, but before Rebels. If you’re a Star Wars geek like me then this is going to be one book you want to read. I hear the audiobook is also really good!
A truly beautiful piece of work that I have wept over, felt drawn to, and still can’t get over. And I will say this, out of all the book to movie adaptations, this is one of the few adaptations that are actually done really well and right by the book. This is probably one of my most favorite adaptations so I can openly say that if you don’t feel like reading the book, then the movie will give the exact same details as the book.
A manga series that was cut far too short! This manga was made into a duology and the way the second book ends…it’s a terrible cliffhanger and I still need answers! This series had so much potential and I truly wish that it didn’t end with only two volumes. Despite the two volumes, it’s very easy to fall in love with the main character and get swept away with the story-line. Hopefully one day this series will get picked up again!
What to say about a book that has a key to my heart? I’ve talked about this twice on my blog, but I never went into too much detail with it. This book came into my life in a very dark period of my life. And there’s contents of this book that touched my soul in ways that not many books do. In it’s own way, it helped me sort through a lot of feelings and come to terms with a lot of terrible things that happened in my life. This is a book in my own library that’s very quiet, but so very loud and I have read this book only twice. Once for the time when it entered my life to help sort through the chaos of my experiences and the second time when I was ready to be at peace, to come to terms with everything. I will never read this book more than those two times, but my love for this book is so great that it will never leave my library.
If I could put this book in every child’s hands, every parents’ hands, every teachers’ hands, I would. There are very few middle grade books that are realistic fiction that I talk about so fiercely and Crenshaw is one that I wish I could shout about all day, every day. There are some topics that I never addressed or voiced about especially from a child’s point of view. If I had this book when I was a child, I can’t even begin to explain how much that would have impacted me and how much it could have changed some things in my life. This book is the book to start an important conversation and a gateway to start making waves in the right way of making a difference in lives. I’m a firm believer that love and compassion are some of the strongest forces in the world and I truly believe this book has the power to spark that in people all over the world.
I’m breaking out the comics and showing my nerdy side….AGAIN! I don’t talk about this series enough as I want to. In case you didn’t know, these comics are based off the game Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator! I’m a little obsessed with them, just a little. I promise! But seriously, I really love the graphic novels because we see a whole new side to a lot of the characters in the game that we don’t get to see and I really loved that about this series. There’s five comics in total and each one is unique in it’s own way. In case you wanted to know, Dream Daddy comic #5 is my favorite out of all of them, but that shows more of my nerdy side.
For those who have been here a hot minute, you know last year I fell in love with this manga series. It took me by storm and as I type this I’m counting down the clock till the next volume releases. To my knowledge, there’s not many people who are talking about this manga or even being vocally loud about it. Hi, my name is Autumn and I’m here to talk your ear off about how much I love this manga and how much you need to go read this series right now! This series is so good and each volume often ends on a cliffhanger that with have you death gripping your book. I love the characters and how they develop because they way they grow and develop alternate between the two of them. Plus, the way the story begins to unfold, it just gets darker and darker as you read along. I have recommended this series to all my friends and now I’m recommending it to you. If there’s one thing that you take away from this, this series is like a a painting and the more the paint is added the bigger the picture becomes. There’s no manga author out here doing it the way NAGABE is doing it. This is truly going to be a master piece when everything is said and done.
Okay, freinds! Those are all the books I have for you! I know, I know, graphic novels and manga, but they’re all pretty great and I hope you check some of them out! I truly wish I would talk more about these books, but there always seems to be new books to talk about! Anyway, let me know in the comments below if any of these captured your attention or if you would like to see some overall series reviews on any of these! Until next time, may your Valentine’s Day be a day full of self-love and treating yourself, I love you! 💕
Salutations Chapterlings! I’m returning with another Top Ten Tuesday and wouldn’t ya know that it’s a TBR, but also a 5-star prediction list! I’m super excited to share this list with all of you because I get to talk about some 2020 releases I’m really looking forward to! Salutations Chapterlings! Oh my goodness, there are so many amazing books coming out this year and you know I’m always here to drop a haul for all of you! Just for the sake of keeping surprises and not wanting to give anything away, I will not be featuring a good chunk of the books that I got for the month of January. However, I will be showing the books that I was buying this month, that were on my radar, and books that I was going to buy no matter what. So, I hope you all enjoy this list, these are some anticipated reads for me, and the flame in my soul is bigger than ever to read these books!
Okay, friends! Those are all the books I have most recently acquired! I’m so thankful and so eager to dive into some of these! And let me just say, Credence was an absolute and complete surprise of a purchase. I swooped down on that after hearing so many things and I still can’t believe how quickly I went to snag it. Surprises are always good and some of the best things are unexpected ones! But that are all the latest purchases and feel free to tell me down below some of your most recent additions to your TBR cart, you TBR shelf, or that giant stack of books to read on your night stand! Until next time Chapterlings, may these last weeks of January be filled with lovely read, reading spirits and readathons, I love you! 💙
Salutations Chapterlings! Can you believe that we made it to 2020?! I still can’t believe that 2019 is done and gone and a new year has already brought so much to us already! Anyway, you’re here because it’s a new year and you want to hear about how I’m going to resolves the mistakes made in 2019. So 2019 was…chaos. It was a wild ride of a year and I’m still processing everything that has happened up until the new year. The second half of 2019 was extremely wild and very intense. Unfortunately, my reading suffered greatly in the last few months of 2019 which means a lot of the books I wanted to read last year just never got read. To make sure I hold myself accountable and so all of you hold me accountable, I will be listing only ten of the many books I have on my 2019 backlist that I absolutely have to read in 2020. My goal is to make sure I read them in the first half of the year.
Now, these books are ones that I’m most excited and they’re in no specific order. These are all books I really want to get to and live on the top tier of my tbr cart. These have to get read and there’s no room for excuses. It’s time to read!
Okay, friends! Those are all the books I want to read this year. I truly think it’s doable especially now that my schedule won’t be so intense. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this article as much as I did! I loved going through my tbr pile and really thinking about the books I absolutely have to read. But please feel free to leave me a comment below on some of the books you didn’t get to read in 2019, but you want to change in 2020. And until next time, may this new year bring you many good things, I love you! 💙

Salutations friends! I’m back with more Top Ten Tuesday goodness! So I’m not going to go into a whole lot of detail with this TBR. A lot of these books you’ll be able to find on my December TBR and some of these are more of future planning for my January TBR (which is already in the works, promise). Honestly, I’m really hoping I can read all of these books and soon. December has been a wild ride of a month so far and there’s a lot of things happening right now that have been shifting my focus and energy. So I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to read at least the majority of these books. I have some new coffee on the way and I’m ready to devoted some large amounts of time to getting some hardcore reading done. But enough of my jibber-jabber, here are the books on my winter TBR!
Okay, Chapterlings! Those are all the books I want to get to this winter season! I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that I can knock half of this list out. And as I mentioned, some of these are for my January TBR (which is in the works and will be coming soon). I’m not going to say which ones because I would love to hear your guesses in the comments below! Also, feel free to tell me some of the books you’re hoping to read this winter season! Until next time, may December bring you five star reads, I love you! 💙
Salutations Chapterlings! I’m back with another Top Tuesday and I’m so very excited because we’re finally in December! Now I know this is the second week of December, but I’m super excited and ready for all the wintery vibes! So for this Toop Ten Tuesday, I was originally was going to do my favorite holiday movies to watch in December, but I decided to go with atmospheric books for the winter season. Winter and fall are my two favorite seasons so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to write about the books I enjoy curling up with during this time of year. So sit back, relax, curl up with some hot chocolate and let’s get into the books!
Something about groups of people gathering around fires ready to take on evil makes me want curl up by the fire reading.
Okay, friends! That wraps up this Top Ten Tuesday of wintery reads. I’m sure there are plenty more out there, but these are the ones I personally enjoy the most. I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did writing this! And please feel free to tell me in the comments below some of your favorite winter reads! Until next time, may December be filled with five stars reads, I love you! ❤️
Salutations dearest readers! I’m back with another Top Ten Tuesday! I told you I was going to attempt to bring some order back to the chaos that is my schedule and here we are! I have been eagerly looking forward to posting this article since the season of fall landed upon us. And now…I can finally post this! This is probably one of my most important posts! My excitement is at an all time high and so is my stress, but it’s fine! I have my cup of coffee and I’m about to spill some for y’all!
This Thursday in the US is Thanksgiving! I know many people in the US celebrate this holiday and I hope you all have a marvelous time. Now, things are a bit different with my family. I’m very open about my heritage and being half Native American. We do and don’t celebrate this holiday. And what I mean by that is my spouse isn’t Native American so they still celebrate the holiday because of their family. However, with my family we don’t celebrate the holiday. We usually end up having a feast, we call our loved ones who are still on the reservations, and it’s a lot of reflecting. So that’s my little tid-bit of how I celebrate the holiday without going into too much details, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk!
I figured the best way to bring this holiday in is to do this Top Ten Tuesday and make it about the books that I’m thankful for, the books that really had an impact with me. While I have so many books I could talk about, I’m only going to talk about the top ten that really molded me and impacted me. So I hope you enjoy this and I may get a little sappy!
I’m thankful because it taught me it’s okay to be different, to have internal conflicts about who you are and what you want to be, and how it’s okay to love differently. And you can live in the moment even on the hard days.
I’m thankful because Magnus Bane is such an important character in my life and without Magnus Bane, I would have never found my pride in my bisexuality and lot of my wounds for my bisexuality would have never healed.
I’m thankful because it taught me it’s okay to be a strong headed woman, to keep fighting for your career no matter what challenges you face, and that you can find love in the most unlikeliest places and people.
Okay, friends, it got a lot personal near the end there and I still have a few lingering tears. I hope you enjoyed this article as much as I did writing this. And of course, I have to acknowledge the history of this month and of the events on the 28th. I know a lot of people in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving by having a big celebration, having a large dinner with family and friends, but I want to take this moment to remind everyone that one of the main genocides of the United States was the genocide of the Indigenous people. It’s devastating, heartbreaking, and even today my family members still speak of the horrors past generations endured. Also, November is Native American Heritage Month in the United States and my family will be taking a few days to honor our ancestors and celebrate our pride in our heritage. But, I hope you all have a safe holiday, filled with lots of love, and a good book! 💛
